At the Rochester International Jazz festival 2004, stars like David Sanborn, Oscar Peterson, Rite of Strings, (Meola, Ponty, Clarke), Bobby McFerrin, etc performed.
Djabe performed on the Big Tent stage from where the Mike Stern Band could also be seen. On the 6th of June, as an exclusive performer, Djabe gave 3 concerts starting from 18.00, 20.30 and 22.30. The Hungarian musicians received a standing ovation from the celebrating audience, the Americans especially being captivated by Barabás Tamás's base guitar play. Several festival directors were observing from among the rows of the audience, therefore the band also received Canadian and Swedish invitations.

Djabe also in London!
After America the band performed on the other side of the Atlantic. Tickets could be purchased for the Djabe concert for the 11 June 2004, at the Spitz. Here the band gave a concert from the material of the American concerts, however Steve Hackett, once the guitar player of Genesis and already a player on the latest album the Sheafs are Dancing, joined them at the beginning of the program. They began by playing a mutual record (The Reflections of Thiérache), this was then followed by Flying. At the end of the concert Steve, for the very first time in his life, joined the London improvisation with an angklungon. The band and Steve, who exclaimed that he really enjoyed playing with Djabe, were called back by the understanding and enthusiastic audience to give several encores. Some of the colleagues of Abbey Road Interactive, who are working at present on the authoring of the multi-channel surround sound DVD Audio, due for completion in Autumn 2004, also participated in the concert. The band conducted by Tamás Barabás enhanced once again the reputation of Hungarian music and musicians!

Djabe success in Lithuania
Djabe band, as a participant of the 2004 Kaunas Jazz Festival, on the 23rd of April gave a concert with such world stars as Randy Brecker, Phil Hamilton, Greg Osby Four, Roy Hargrove, and The Earth Wind & Fire Experience.
Djabe was one of the outstanding performers of the one-week-festival as the excellent representative of the Hungarian Jazz-world fusion and, at the same time, the first Hungarian performer at the 15 years old world class Kaunas Jazz Festival. The packed VDU Grand Concert Hall did not just enjoy the concert though, for the members of band were also incredibly successful through the jam session also.
For both of the musicians and the enthusiastic audience the most memorable moments of the jam session were the joint sessions with Philip Hamilton. So Djabe further enhanced the reputation of the Hungarian music and the Hungarian musicians in Lithuania, on one of the most grand European jazz festivals.
